Today, VKE Transformers conducted routine factory tests on a batch of dry type transformer wholesale, focusing on three core items: Partial Discharge (PD) Test, No-Load & Load Test, and Power Frequency Withstand Voltage Test. Through rigorous technical detection and data verification, all tested products performed excellently, with various indicators complying with international standards such as CSA C88 and the company's internal quality control requirements, demonstrating Weike Transformers' stringent quality management in product R&D and manufacturing.
Partial Discharge (PD) Test:
The Partial Discharge Test is a "perspective lens" for evaluating the insulation performance of transformers. During the test, technicians used professional partial discharge analyzers to continuously monitor the partial discharge volume of the transformer's high-voltage and low-voltage windings.
The monitoring was conducted under the specified power frequency test voltage. Technicians accurately recorded the stable discharge values and verified compliance with standard limits.
The test aims to detect potential defects in the internal insulation of the windings, such as air gaps, impurities, and electric field distortion. It also identifies hidden risks of insulation breakdown and operational flashover in advance. Additionally, it verifies the reliability of the insulation structure design and manufacturing process, while meeting mandatory national and industry standards for factory insulation performance.

No-Load Test

For the No-Load Test, technicians open-circuited the secondary side and applied the rated voltage at the rated frequency to the primary side. They focused on measuring no-load current and no-load loss power.
This data assesses core quality, lamination process, and magnetic circuit integrity. It also evaluates whether the iron loss level meets energy efficiency standards and indirectly identifies hidden issues like core short circuits and poor insulation.
Load Test:
For the Load Test, one side of the winding is short-circuited. An adjustable voltage is applied to the other side to ensure the winding carries the rated current. Technicians then measure load loss (copper loss) and short-circuit impedance.
The core objectives are to verify the reliability of the winding material, welding quality, and connections. It also provides key technical parameters for transformer parallel operation, temperature rise calculation, and system protection setting. This ensures the product meets energy efficiency requirements and maintains stable load operation capabilities under actual working conditions.

Power Frequency Withstand Voltage Test

The Power Frequency Withstand Voltage Test is an "extreme challenge" for the insulation strength of transformers. During the test, technicians applied a specified duration of power frequency high voltage between the transformer's high-voltage, low-voltage windings, and the ground.
This was done in accordance with standard requirements. The team continuously monitored for insulation failure phenomena such as breakdown and flashover.
The core purpose of the test is to verify the rationality of insulation material selection, insulation distance design, and casting process. It ensures the product can withstand power frequency overvoltage impacts that may occur during operation. Additionally, it eliminates products with weak insulation, poor assembly, or moisture damage, building a "final line of defense" for long-term safe operation.
Jiangsu VKE Transformers factory has always adhered to the production philosophy of "Quality First, Pursuit of Excellence." Strict routine tests are integrated into the delivery process of every batch of products.
The successful completion of this core test for dry-type transformers not only verifies the reliability and compliance of product performance but also reflects the company's sense of responsibility to the market and customers.
