I. Introduction
At VKE Transformer, we are well aware that customers purchase not just a transformer, but a commitment to stable power supply for decades to come. Routine tests ensure that each product is qualified, but how do we prove that the design itself is robust and reliable for the long term? The answer lies in type tests - a destructive and extreme test conducted on a representative unit under the most rigorous simulated conditions.

II. Test Items
1. Temperature Rise Test
Our temperature rise test goes beyond merely verifying rated operating conditions. We simulate more demanding continuous loads and abnormal conditions to precisely measuring the hot-spot temperature rise of the windings and oil. This process ensures that the insulation system operates within a safe margin even under extreme circumstances, thereby keeping the risk of insulation thermal aging extremely low. This provides crucial thermal performance assurance for the transformer to achieve its long-term reliable design life target.
2. Dielectric Type Tests
This series includes tests such as lightning impulse, switching impulse, and extended power-frequency withstand voltage. By simulating overvoltages in our laboratory that far exceed actual operating levels, we verify the substantial design margin of the insulation system. This proves that our transformers can withstand transient overvoltage impacts like lightning strikes and switching surges, serving as the fundamental design safeguard for protecting both the grid and personnel.

3. Sound Level Measurement
For transformers with guaranteed sound level requirements, we perform precise measurements and recordings of the sound power level under all cooling modes in a semi-anechoic chamber. This not only fulfills contractual obligations but also serves as the design basis for our quiet solutions tailored for sensitive environments such as cities and residential areas.
4. Auxiliary Power Consumption Measurement
We precisely measure the input power of fan and oil pump motors. This data enables an accurate and transparent calculation of the transformer's total losses when the cooling system is fully operational, helping customers accurately evaluate operating efficiency and total cost of ownership.

5. Extended Measurement of No-Load Loss & Current
We not only measure at rated voltage but also test at 90% and 110% of rated voltage. This thoroughly verifies the linearity and low-loss characteristics of the core's magnetic circuit within the design range. Thereby, it ensures stable and efficient performance during normal grid voltage fluctuations, and prevents the generation of abnormal harmonic currents.
