Components & Features
Core
The core is the magnetic circuit of the transformer, assembled from high-permeability silicon steel sheets. Featuring low hysteresis and eddy current losses, silicon steel sheets can also effectively enhance the transformer's efficiency. To further reduce core losses, we adopt step-lap joint to decrease magnetic resistance at joints and laser cutting for precise shaping of silicon steel sheets.
Windings
The windings serve as the conductive part of the transformer. They are made of high-conductivity copper wires, coated with insulating materials. In large-capacity transformers, we also use special winding structures like helical winding and interleaved disc winding to improve heat dissipation and mechanical strength.

10kV Oil Immersed Transformer-Active Part: Core & Windings

Oil Tank
The oil tank acts as the transformer's outer enclosure, housing transformer oil, core, windings and other components. Constructed from welded steel plates, the oil tank features good sealing and mechanical strength. To enhance heat dissipation, we typically weld cooling fins onto the tank walls or utilize radiators to increase the heat exchange area between the oil tank and the external environment.
Insulation Bushings
The insulation bushings are installed on the top of the tank and serve as the outlets for the high and low voltage winding leads. They ensure the insulating properties between the leads and tank, while also withstand the mechanical tension and electrical stress of the leads. Based on voltage levels, insulation bushings are classified into porcelain bushings, oil-filled bushings, capacitor graded bushings, etc.

Gas Relay
The gas relay is installed on the pipe between the tank and conservator. It acts as an important protective device for internal faults in the transformer. When internal faults occur, a large amount of gases will be produced. These gases pass through the connecting pipe into the gas relay, triggering its operation. An alarm or trip signals will be send to cutting off the transformer's power supply.
