1. Safety technical requirements for distribution transformers installed on poles

⑴ The height of the transformer base should not be less than 2.5m from the ground, and all iron parts should be grounded.

⑵ The height of the exposed conductive parts from the ground should be more than 3.5m.
⑶ The transformer base should be fixed to the stand, and the upper part should be fixed to the pole with hardware.

⑷ The upper and lower leads of the transformer should both use multi-strand insulated wires. The high-voltage drop-out fuse should not be less than 4m from the ground, the distance between the middle phase and the side phase of the high-voltage fuse should not be less than 0.5m, and the angle between the center line of the high-voltage fuse and the vertical line should be 250-300.

⑸ A warning sign "No climbing, high voltage danger!" should be hung.

2. Safety Technical Requirements for Distribution Transformers Installed Outdoors
(1) The foundation of a floor-standing transformer should be 0.2m above the ground. If located in a flooded area, a drainage ditch should be built around the transformer. A masonry wall should be erected around the transformer, with a height of at least 1.8m. The door should be constructed of fire-resistant materials and located on the low-voltage side of the transformer. The door should open outward and be locked. Bamboo or wooden fences are not recommended.
(2) Transformers should be installed on a platform (pier) with a height of at least 2.5m.
(3) If two or more transformers are installed outdoors, the distance between their casings should be at least 1.25m.
(4) The transformer casing should be properly grounded.
(5) The transformer should be at least 5m away from combustible structures and at least 3m away from fire-resistant structures.
(6) A "Stop, High Voltage Danger" warning sign should be hung on the wall or platform (pier).

3.Safety Technical Requirements for Distribution Transformers Installed Indoors
(1) The indoor environment should have good natural ventilation.

(2) The transformer room should have a fire resistance rating of Class I.
(3) The clear distance between the transformer's exterior profile and the rear and side walls should be no less than 0.6m, and the clear distance from the door should be no less than 0.8m. Doors and windows in the transformer room should open outwards and have blinds underneath.
